A couple weekends ago, I ventured down to San Diego to visit some of my best girls from UCSB. This lovely lady earned the nickname "Mama Meg" 12 years ago when her late night quesadillas blew minds. She is expecting her second little one this fall and is the epitome of "Mama."

The above group is my hilarious, welcoming, game loving, homemade ice cream making, Frogmore Stew eating, Southern family. We rented a beach house (yep, just one for all of us!) and shared a week of fun on the South Carolina coast.
Navarre Family
Ginni and I have a lot in common: two sweet little boys, loving and involved husbands, a very similar wardrobe, and an understanding of what it means to be a "boy mom." About twenty minutes in, big brother Clayton suffered a tragic knee bonk which proved to only be remedied by potty jokes and fart sounds. Sincere apologies to all others who visited the Rock Garden that morning! Navarres, I LOVE YOU GUYS!
Gadd Family
Ashlee is one of those people you can't help but love. She is a writer, a photographer, and an entrepreneur. She joined my village via a weekly playgroup and when Chandler couldn't stop talking about Ev and how nice he was, I knew we would be fast friends. She and I share clients, information regarding photography and business, and a love for Parenthood (I'm referring to the the TV show...). When Ashlee told me she'd rather have two cranky kids than bad light, we scheduled our session at bedtime and hoped for the best. Thank you Gadd family for exceeding all expectations and for traipsing in with the snakes.
Miller Family
We took these photos before Christmas and I am finally posting them. So, there's that. Katie is one of my oldest and bestest friends and we went to the Calaveras Big Trees State Park near Arnold, CA for these photos. The fog rolled in at the perfect time and this is one of favorite sessions to date. Thank you to the Millers for being so fun and stunningly good looking.
Thronson Family
This family, I tell you what. We took photos on the Capitol grounds to celebrate the finalization of Josie's adoption. She has been a part of this family for over a year and finally it was made legal. Hard to know who is luckiest in this situation. She is a beautiful, vibrant child and her sidekicks are kind and hilarious. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
MJ is ONE
I first met this sweet boy last fall when we took his 6 month photos. His smile is even more infectious now than it was then. His grandma from southern California was in town to celebrate his birthday, so she also starred in this family session. We went to my new go to spot, the Land Park Rock Garden. Enjoy this snippet.
